Achieving measurable impact, advancing innovation in mental health, supporting community growth, and ensuring sustainability are central to creating lasting change for children, youth, and families.

What we do
At DCPA, we believe no one should face mental health challenges alone. Whether you need support, want to join a community, or are looking to contribute as a volunteer, you are always welcome. Together, we’re building a stronger foundation for children, youth, and families across Denmark and China – one step at a time.
For children and adolescents, we create materials that help them understand their emotions, express their feelings, and build coping skills. We explain what to expect in therapy, share positive stories from peers, and offer practical strategies for managing stress, anxiety, and anger. We encourage young people to know their rights, feel supported, and reach out for help when needed.
For professionals, we offer specialized training and workshops, professional networking opportunities, and access to the Journal of Child & Family Psychology, along with reduced rates for conferences and certification programs. Our training areas include Family Systems Therapy, Child Mentalization-Based Therapy Adolescent Risk Assessment etc. We also support research through calls for papers, research grants, and evidence-based practice guidelines.
For families, we share clear, accessible information about common emotional and behavioral challenges, guidance on when to seek help, and explanations of how therapy works for children and adolescents. Families can use our directory to connect with certified psychologists and access resources on emotional regulation, communication, and family resilience. We also host free webinars and Q&A sessions with experts.
For organizations such as clinics, schools, non-profits, and research centers, we provide institutional access to our research library, tailored in-house training programs, and recognition on our official partner directory. We collaborate on joint research initiatives, data-sharing projects, co-hosted conferences, and the design of school-based mental health programs. Our team offers expert consultation for large-scale child and family services, as well as policy and program development support.
